Japan
I can’t exactly remember when my fascination for Japan had started. Maybe early 2000 when I read my first Haruki Murakami novel (‘The Wind-up Bird Chronicle’) and became interested in Japanese literature, movies, music composers and the history of Japan. Definitely my visit to the Haute Photography Exposition in 2019 in Rotterdam and in that year their special focus on a small group of Japanese photographers kicked me definitely in the right direction, I was literally blown away by their work. I suppose there my wish arose to visit Japan, to see and experience this beautiful country even only once in my life … so a dream came through in the summer of 2024.
