The Polevillage | Petten - The Black Sky Series

it was a windy and rainy day when I walked on the beach close to the small village of Petten in October 2023. I had read about the Polevillage (Palendorp) art installation and wanted to photograph the project which was designed by 3 Dutch artist and commissioned and gifted to the community in 2016 by the contractor consortium who worked reinforcing the Pettemer sea dike between 2014 and 2015 by depositing massive amounts of sand on the beach.
